筆者學習攝影之初，也是以女像為主。原因很簡單，初學攝影的人，拿著相機而又沒有拍攝對象的時候，根本不知應該拍些甚麼。而拍攝女像便很自然成為攝影生涯的開始。

很多影友也有一個誤解，以為拍攝人像或者美少女照片，只需利用大光圈來矇化背景，突出主體便可以了。其實拍攝角度的選擇、服飾和周圍環境的配合、光源，以及用甚麼焦距的鏡頭等等，也是必需斟酌的問題。單是與模特兒溝通一環，已經是一門學問。因為很多時候，我們的拍攝對象，只是些業餘模特兒。她們根本不懂得如何去擺姿勢、做表情。有時即使費盡唇舌，也未必可以得到想要的效果呢。

I begin taking ladies portrait when I start learning photography, since at that time I got no idea of what I should take when holding the camera in hands.

Lots of people misunderstand that it is a must to use great aperture when taking ladies portrait, whereas angle of shooting, clothes, environment, lighting and using lens of different focal length are largely ignored. Another challenge is communicating with the models. Sometimes, it is a harsh experience to convey the idea to them even after lots of trial and error.
